On Tuesday April ^28th, the French Embassy graciously hosted a joint fundraiser. We celebrated the unwavering resilience of Afghan children at The Aschiana Foundation and the unshakeable hope of young immigrant girls in the DC area supported by the Starlight Scholarship Fund for Girls. Our keynote speaker, the remarkable Dr. Sima Samar, a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, delivered a profoundly inspiring and deeply moving speech.

     Furthermore, one of Starlight’s scholars, Sonia, captivated the audience with her touching personal story and shared how the scholarship has supported her educational journey.
